DKP, a certified Women's Business Enterprise with more than 100+ cumulative years of experience in the drug and device industry, is searching for a talented and detail-oriented Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Services. This role will work in close collaboration with all DKP staff to bring clinical insights into the strategic reimbursement consulting services and develop actionable solutions for biopharmaceutical, device and diagnostics clients.  Additionally, the Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Services will leverage his/her expertise and experience to educate and deepen relationships with both internal (DKP colleagues) and external (hospitals/health systems, physician practices, payers) audiences.
 

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Design and manage project timeframes, and all related deliverables including interim reports and final presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with DKP team (PayerScope and LifeCycle) to understand business objectives and communicate specifications for projects requiring clinical insights.
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of all projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Serve as content resource for the development and implementation of strategic reimbursement planning initiatives.

Clinical Services:

  • Conduct clinical parity analysis related to drugs and biologicals in comparison to third party payer access (parity to label, parity to clinical position statements and guidelines).
  • Coordinate and execute clinical market research projects with healthcare stakeholders such as hospitals/health systems, physician practices or payers.
  • Plan and coordinate DKP pharmacy intern program serving as mentor and advisor to local interns.
  • Coordinate within DKP to develop and conduct educational programming for Medical Science Liaisons at biopharmaceutical companies.
  • Collaborate with other DK Pierce team members (PayerScope and Lifecycle Solutions) to provide clinical insights and develop actionable solutions for biopharmaceutical, device and diagnostics clients. This includes executing on projects that may include, but not be limited to:
    • Budget impact modeling
    • Drug packaging and wastage analysis and implications
    • Clinical drug compendia research and strategy execution
    • Patient access analysis in clinical trial protocols
    • Value message development and testing
  • Participate individually with clients, and in team meetings with clients, to provide clinical insights on market dynamics for drugs and biologicals.

Business Development:

  • Conduct horizon scanning of innovative pipeline drugs and biologicals in early development for targeting company business development opportunities.
  • Understand and convey DKP service offerings with the mindset that every payer meeting, industry and medical specialty meeting is an opportunity for business development.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals that convey DKP’s Clinical Service offerings with accurate budget.

Other Functions:

  • Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, can demonstrate self-directed capabilities to work independently.
  • Work effectively on multiple requests for multiple clients at a given time.
  • Portray professional appearance and attitude when attending client meetings, agency and healthcare industry meetings.
  • Communicate potential company service opportunities and quality improvements for this role as it evolves.
  • Provide motivation, support, mentoring and affirmation to entire DKP team.
  • Complete special projects as assigned and on time.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree (RPh, PharmD) required, BCOP specialization a plus.
  • Minimum of three years’ demonstrated experience working with or in-depth knowledge of oncology and/or specialty drugs (required).
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of conducting clinical parity analysis related to drugs and biologicals (required).
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, internet, Outlook email, with the ability to learn other applicable software as needed (required).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with payer personnel (analysts to medical directors) colleagues, clients, and staff at all levels (required).
